1996 Donruss Twister brings the hit disaster flick to trading cards. Although the movie lives on through streaming and reruns, the set is all but forgotten. Or maybe it just never was. But unlike a tornado barreling down along the horizon, it’ll take some looking for find this set in any sort of quantity.
1996 Donruss Twister Checklist Details
There’s not a lot to the set as a whole. For the base set, it’s 90 cards. The first 72 recap the story. Fronts are kept simple with a full-bleed photo and the movie’s logo. Backs integrate a cropped version of the same image along with a matching write-up that, put together, builds a synopsis of the film’s events.
Among the final 18 cards are two subsets. Emergency Staff Credentials are basically character cards. Behind the Scenes are just that, taking a look at the making of the summer blockbuster. Wrapping things up is a pair of checklists.
While everything in the product is tough to find, cards #73 on appear to be especially scarce.
1996 Donruss Twister has just one insert set. Nine Foil cards combine to land 1:4 packs. That means with perfect collation, there’s the potential for a set in a sealed box.
