Just like the movie, the 2004 Inkworks Catwoman trading cards were a bust. Although it covered the film decently enough, few cared given that it was so bad to begin with. And without the signatures of any of its (then) A-list stars, there wasn’t much left other than some shots of Halle Berry in his leather garb.
The 2004 Inkworks Catwoman base set has 72 cards. They recap the “story” and offer a look at the movie’s characters. The design is actually pretty good, but there’s not much worth getting excited about.
Autographs were inserted one per box, but the checklist is lacking. No Halle Berry. No Sharon Stone. Not even Benjamin Bratt lent his signature to the release. That leaves Lambert Wilson to anchor the autographs. A further kick to the shins is a result of all the autographs being redemptions, which haven’t been valid for years.
Perhaps the most interesting part of the 2004 Inkworks Catwoman trading cards are the Pieceworks cards. With 14 cards, there’s a good amount of depth to the costumes. More than half of them highlight wardrobe from Halle Berry as either Catwoman or her alter ego Patience. And yes, a leather top and leather pants are among the cards in the set.
The nine-card foil puzzle is called Fearless. There’s also a six-card Cat Vision foil set that has an interesting look to it.
