1995 Fleer Batman Forever trading cards are the no-frills counter to the more hobby-centric Fleer Ultra Batman Forever release. Sold at retail places like Walmart, both the cards and the checklist are simple and affordable.
1995 Fleer Batman Forever Checklist Details
The base set has 120 cards. It’s the same checklist as Fleer Ultra but the cards aren’t exactly identical. Images and captions? Yes. However, standard Fleer cards are plain and don’t have any enhancements. Fleer Ultra cards have foil accents for the caption, set logo and movie logo. When in doubt, there’s also the set names. The retail set says “Fleer 1995” on the front while Ultra cards are labeled “Fleer Ultra 95” in the same spot.
The base set is a mix of character cards and movie recaps. The comic book look that director Joel Schumacher brought to the film might be over-the-top on the screen but it translates well to trading cards.
The other big difference for the standard Fleer set is that it has no inserts. It’s just the base set. So for those looking for holograms and other chase cards, Ultra’s the route to go.
In addition to Fleer and Fleer Ultra, the card maker also did a Batman Forever Metal release in conjunction with the movie.
