When 1995 Dynamic Marketing Ren and Stimpy Show trading cards arrived, it had been a couple of years since the animated friends appeared in a standalone release. Topps did a foil set in 1993 that revolved heavily around the flashy stock. This time around, the Australian manufacturer takes a somewhat more traditional approach, although there are some standout inserts as well.
1995 Dynamic Marketing Ren and Stimpy Show Checklist Details
The base set is a decent 110 cards. Within this, though, are several thematic subsets that break the show down. Pretty much the first half of the set revolves around specific episodes. From there, it gets into things like different characters, puzzles, in-episode “commercials” and more.
Throughout, it’s a colorful design reminiscent of a comic book panel. In the instances of puzzles, think of them as larger splash pages.
The checklist has two additional insert sets. Five Kitty Glitter cards, which combine to land 1:12 packs, start with acetate stock. This gives the cards a cel quality to them. There’s also additional glitter accents that make them sparkle that much more.
Enternational Eediots has 18 foil cards that are fashioned to be bizzare postcards that take Ren and Stimpy to different parts of the world. Although Dynamic products are typically distributed in Australia, this set came to North America as well. That’s where these chase are found, falling 1:4 packs.
